Getting Tired of All this Paper??
Are you grade 6s getting tired of all these ads? Everywhere you turn, are you seeing what we're seeing? Paper, paper, paper…EVERYWHERE! All these other parties are wasting paper and trees, just to get your attention! But the J.LA. Party knows you! We know that this school is technology driven, and environmentally friendly! The J.LA. Party has no excessive paper ads posted everywhere in the school!
Are you an environmentalist? Are you a techie? Are you annoyed too?
SO ARE WE!

Dear J.L.A. Party;
ReplyDeleteI think that what the way the way the the other parties are just the worst! We have been taught at this school to preserve paper and other natural resources. The grade 9s are supposed to be role models of our school, and yet they are the ones ignoring the rules. I believe in what you are doing and believe in the opinions of your party wholeheartedly.
Who was it that printed off a giant ad for the top of the grade 6's doors? You are just as guilty, and the fact that you are trying to put down other parties while you do the same thing is extremely hypocritical. Not to mention that these parties have taken initiative and put their name out there. The P.A. Party for one prints very small ads to still get our message across while using minimal paper, as well as black and white. You say we all waste paper? You didn't even follow the rules and had to take it down. A giant piece of paper wasted.
ReplyDeleteWhat Prime Minister doesn't know their own countries laws? That is what this looks like to me.
Hello Joel. First and foremost, we would like to address the P.A. Party, as we see you are a representative from them. The fact that you would state that the P.A. Party uses "minimal paper" is quite outrageous. We have ALL personally seen P.A. Party posters stapled together on the same spot, covering entire bulletin boards of student's work, and littered on the ground EVERYWHERE. Not only is this a nuisance, but it is also a complete waste of paper. Please tell me the point of having thousands of tiny pieces of paper posted everywhere? Are you really that desperate for attention? If so, I recommend you begin to focus on actual problems at hand.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, the J.L.A. Party's intentions were not to put down other parties. We simply did not agree with their actions, and found it quite peculiar how desperate you all are for getting your constituents' votes. We understand that you may really want to win and that you think you will win, but that is quite conceited honestly. The J.L.A. Party has printed only 2 posters and we ensured they were not wasted but rather RECYCLED, unlike your own party. Why is that I literally have "P.A. Party" stuck to the bottom of my shoe, because there are so many on the floor? Now that's a waste.
Speaking of, it is untrue to say that we didn't follow the rules. We were simply unaware of the rule, just as every other party in the race; something completely different from not following one. And to compare a rule to a law? What a big difference. This was a matter of preserving the school walls, not something like discrimination. Rules and laws are very different, and it's quite unfortunate that you didn't know the difference.
It seems like the P.A. Party and other parties have taken many extremist measures to win…You are quite the politicians, P.A. Party. And that is not, a compliment.
Sincerely,
The J.L.A. Party
The P.A. Party finds it rather laughable that you are considering our small pieces of paper to be "extremist." Must I remind you that you guys are the ones that used a giant piece of paper. The J.L.A. Party is in no way exempt from these accusations. Seeing this response that Miss. Vansadia has given us, it shows that they have NOT clearly paid attention to what the P.A. Party has stated. We have not denied nor stated that we have maximized our number of advertisements and that we have them widespread throughout the school, however what the J.L.A has continuously skirted around is that ALL of our advertisements are SMALL. We had put special attention into making sure that our advertisements were secure and fastened tightly to the boards, so when they “fall out,” some questions arise as to possible sabotage.
DeleteAs to “all the papers on the ground,” I don’t really understand what you could mean by that, as we have not seen any papers on the ground ourselves, and therefore it seems that your claim is a hyperbole, and furthermore it was previously unspecified as to what we would do with these papers afterward. I can personally assure you that we will put all of our advertisements in the recycling. The fact that you would assume that we would not recycle these ads is a very grand assumption.
Also, regarding rules and laws, a law is literally a system of rules. I fail to see how there is the huge difference between them that you make it out to be. I am starting to wonder if YOU know the difference between a rule and a law. As to our “extremist” measures, let’s take a look at what we have done:
1. Put some small ads on empty bulletin boards
2. That’s about it
Also, please judge yourself before judging others. Printing a giant ad is a little more “extreme” than a few small pieces of paper. Please keep this in mind. The P.A. Party does not wish to start any fights, but when other parties try to bash us for something they are equally guilty of, we feel it is important to clear things up.
Sincerely,
The P.A. Party
I agree with Joel's comment completely. The J.L.A Party directly states that, "all these other parties are wasting paper and trees, just to get [all of the voter's] attention, [and that] the J.LA. Party has no excessive paper ads posted [any]where in the school," but as Joel mentioned, they have completely failed to realize that they have contradicted themselves immensely. Just by looking at their most recent post, it doesn't take a genius to realize that the HUGE advertisement (http://tradehonestyeconomy.blogspot.ca/2014/06/spot-difference_3.html) that they have put up is more paper than most of the other party's advertisements combined.
ReplyDeleteWhat the J.L.A. Party has informed their voters is misleading and deceptive. It's not fair for them state this, and it's even worst that they are trying to deceive their voters. Can they justify their words with their actions?
I am most excited to hear their answers.
The J.L.A. Party is quite amused at this most recent comment made by Ms.Ngo. First of all, please READ our replies before your jump into another comment. You are wasting your time and our time.
DeleteSecondly, since you decided not to read our reply to Mr.Prior, I will repeat a specific part. The J.L.A. Party has ensured that the big posters will be recycled and properly disposed of. Unlike us, The P.A. Party refuses to accept responsibility for their advertisements all over the floor. Are you aware of this? If not, I suggest you take a walk around the school.
Yes, we may have used a large piece of paper, but we have taken care of the poster and have tracked where it ended up. Do you have an exact number of your tiny posters and exactly where they are? If not, I'm sure you'll find some in the garbage.
Sincerely,
The J.L.A. Party
I'm not sure if you noticed, but these comments were posted at pretty much the same time. It would have been impossible to see your response, so there is no need to waste time by lecturing her about it.
Delete-P.A. Party
P.A. Party, we apologize. We realize both parties are at fault. Thank you for pointing out the things we have been doing wrong and can improve on. We apologize for "attacking" your party and other parties. We would appreciate if from this point, we could all just get along. Please, lets all focus on larger issues.
DeleteThank you and sincerely,
J.L.A. Party
Thank you for understanding that we were just trying to defend our party as well as others, and we also see the flaws from our party. We understand that there were some papers on the ground, even if we didn't see them, and we will be sure to secure our ads in the future. Just please don't launch other attack ads if you don't want people to retaliate.
DeleteSincerely, the P.A. Party
also argument win...
Lets move away from the negativity and progress towards a more positive attitude and vision for our school, rather than arguing. The Dynamic Party is here to create change and inform our voters about our initiatives as a party that is here for you! ~ Dynamic
ReplyDeleteActually, we are not trying to be negative. As I said earlier, the P.A. Party does not wish to start any fights. We were simply trying to defend ourselves against the J.L.A.'s barrage of negativity. They were bashing all of the parties, and we simply wish to defend ourselves, as well as speak on behalf of the other parties that the J.L.A. involved in this "argument." Please don't advertise when we are speaking for other parties, including your own. Take a look at the image above, and your party is in the trash bin as well as ours. Please help defend yourselves and other parties or just stay out of it, but please don't start advertising.
DeleteThe Dynamic party is not trying to advertise or argue we are simply trying to inform our voters where we stand on issues that matter to them. We do not need to involve in this negativity, and Dynamic believes that the constituents should not be involved in this either. For a solution, we can all just stop with these negative comments and resolve the issue in a fair way.

Delete...... Vote for Plan Party!
ReplyDeleteI think the key here is that while JLA printed one large poster, that is all they printed. They were very aware that they would be using paper and weighed their options carefully. I wonder, in this debate, who is being the leader and who is being the politician? Have we forgotten why we are in this in the first place?
ReplyDeleteJLA - thank you for respecting the community by taking the poster down. I accept responsibility for this since I am the one who helped you put it up in the first place. Also, your choice not to hang posters was well thought out and intentional.
Everyone - think about how your community looks when politicians are campaigning (signs EVERYWHERE!). This is the reality of advertising.
